Marau ā-Kura: Kura Curriculum
Te Wharekura o Kirikiriroa is a Kura-ā-Iwi. Our localised curriculum Te Pou-a-Haokai, which prioritises the unique aspirations and values of our kura community, is enhanced by supporting curricula - Te Whāriki, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and NCEA. We prioritize learning that strengthens the Māori language, culture, and identity of our uri while equipping them with the skills to thrive in the modern world.
Our localised curriculum embraces our collective rich histories, traditions, including the knowledge of Ngāti Wairere, on whose ancestral lands we stand. Through strong partnerships with our iwi, whānau, community, nationally and internationally, we ensure that the learning journey of each tauira is authentic, relevant, and empowering, providing pathways to success that is grounded in traditional Mātauranga Māori and contemporary knowledge.
